Why does everyone love to sit around a fire? What draws us to bring it to join us when we are in the wilderness? Fire making is an essential wilderness skill. From purification of water, to cooking, heating, lighting, coal burning, pottery firing, comfort, and ambience, fire has  endless uses and applications for survival and traditional crafts. In this program we will cover the basics of how to start a fire with modern tools like matches and lighters in all weather conditions, and then graduate to making and learning to use bow drill, the best friction fire technique for temperate environments. Come on out for the day and enjoy this important and fun skill.
