What are Gait Studies? Gait refers to the movement pattern the animal is using and the corresponding gait pattern is left for trackers to interpret. In human terms, walk, jog, run, sprint, sit, stand, kneel, etc, etc.
How do I sign my child up?
Using the menus please find the program page for the course you would like your child to take. In the sidebar there is an "add to cart" button. select the course(s) you would like and proceed to checkout. There you can fill out your registration information and complete a payment. You can check out multiple students for multiple classes at one time.
Do you offer Scholarships?
Unfortunately at this time there are no youth scholarships. We are not a non-profit and cannot generate scholarships from grants and donations. We do offer payment plans, and will do our best to work with families to make the programs work for them.
Are payment plans available?
Yes. For long term programs you can choose the recurring payment option when checking out through the website. This will automate the payments on a monthly basis. We ask that you use this method for all payment plans unless it is impossible. If so, contact us to set up specific arrangements to meet your needs.
Is there space in summer courses?
If you check the page for the specific program you would like your child to attend the course will be listed as "Full" or "Space Available"

Can I sign up by mail?
Yes. Although we prefer for online sign ups and payment, you can download a registration form here or on any course page. Download the form, fill it out, and send it to our mailing address, 192 Bear Notch Rd, Bradford, VT 05033, along with your deposit. Please allow two weeks for processing paper registrations.
How can my child get credit for Roots Programs?
Many high school guidance departments in Vermont are helping students to build credit through independent studies programs as well as fulfilling several standard for homeschooling families. Several of our past students have received credit for their course here in science, social sciences, physical education, and humanities. Please contact us to see how we can help make this happen.
