I love stone tools, and what started with an obsession with making pretty arrows heads has turned into a life long journey to understand how to make and use effective tools that can be used to meet my wilderness living needs.
This is a daily course, please bring your own food. Camping is available by request.
Join Roots for a week in the magical Vermont winter landscape. Students will spend thier days learning about keeping themselves warm and safe in the winter, studying animals tracks and sign, and working winter survival skills that have kept people alive in winter throughout time. Games and adventures as well as focused learning time will encourage self reliance and enjoyment of the outdoors no matter the weather. Sure to be snowy fun, we will find time to warm up and dry out in one of several heated structures or primitive shelters, or just enjoy a nice big fire.
