From hunting to protecting themselves weapons of extreme beauty and intense efficiency have been created by native peoples around the world. This course will bring together a wide collection of primitive weapons and tools from a broad range of cultures and ages. The course will move rapidly as it is packed with the construction of: Atl-Alts, throwing spears, thrusting spears, bolas, slings, advanced and crossed throwing sticks, war clubs, as well as wood and bone fire hardening and sharpening techniques. Ben Goodrich of New England Ninjutsu will be joining us to instruct in techniques applicable to the tools created. The class will end with a large primitive shooting gallery where we put our new tools to the test.
